Choosing a roof.
Which patio cover type is best for full sun?
A solid cover blocks the most sun and rain outright. If you want light some of the time and full cover the rest, a motorized louvered roof does both — open for filtered light, sealed when the weather turns.
What is the difference between lattice and louvered?
Lattice is fixed — evenly spaced beams that always throw the same striped shade. Louvered blades rotate, so you choose the amount of shade and can seal the roof completely.
Can a freestanding cover go anywhere in the yard?
Broadly yes — it carries its own posts and does not attach to the house, so it can sit poolside or mid-yard. Footings, setbacks and any easements get confirmed during the site visit.
